But before all that… it’s important that you decide where you will profess your unending love to each other. A great starting point is to consider the atmosphere and setting of your ceremony and reception. To help you along the way, I’ve compiled a list of my top 5 favorite wedding venues near Ottawa. These venues offer a stunning backdrop for your celebration while ensuring a memorable experience for you and your guests. 1. Le Belvédère in Wakefield, Québec

In the number 1 spot is a venue that holds a special place in my heart. My husband and I were married right here on this gorgeous clifftop in Wakefield, QC. From their unmatched customer service to the stunning views, the moment you choose the Belvédère, you are setting yourselves up for a successful wedding day.
The Belvédère features two getting ready spaces, so that both halves of the wedding party may get ready on site. Their nearby colleagues at The Wakefield Grand have generous offerings as well. These include a shuttle service from the venue to the hotel, a morning breakfast spread, and late night campfire.
This venue is a 10/10.



2. Adélina Barn in Gatineau, Québec
Located just 20 minutes outside of the Nation’s Capital, Adélina Barn overlooks a 53 acre forested estate. The sprawling estate, and rustic architecture makes this a perfect backdrop for a wedding celebration. A secret garden of sorts, with grounds that are meticulously maintained and boast a wide array of florals, greenery, and mature trees.

Clad with a tin roof, twinkle lights, large windows, and tons of charm, this space is simply perfect. One of my favourite features of this location is the rustic barn-style reception space. Definitely check this one out if you are looking for a blend of whimsy/rustic/estate magic.



3. Stonefields Estate in Carleton Place Ontario
Next we have, the Stonefields Estate. This is a venue I’ve shot at time and time again, and every time I am so in awe of the unique quality of each wedding that is held here.
This venue features 2 getting ready spaces, including a heritage farmhouse and pub, and a sun-filled bridal great room. Additionally, Stonefields offers a selection of ceremony spaces including an elegant ceremony house, or an outdoor ceremony space under a canopy of trees. Their barn-style reception space is impressive, with lofted ceilings, a magical chandelier, and so much potential to add all your personal touches.
Stonefields is an all-in-one solution, with overnight accommodations, catering, bar service – the works. This one is truly a gem!




4. The Chelsea Pub in Chelsea, Québec
Nestled in the quaint village of Chelsea, Quebec, it’s possible you may have stopped in to the Chelsea Pub, after a spa day next door at the Spa Nordik. Interestingly, What you may not have known, is that they are also incredible wedding ceremony and reception hosts! If you are looking for charm, I can assure you it is ever present throughout this pub that is filled with personality, great food, and charming nearby accommodations.





5. The Boathouse Café in Burritts Rapids, Ontario
A newer venue near Ottawa, Ontario, the Boathouse Café is a perfect choice for a wedding at any time of year. It truly does have a nautical cozy boathouse feel inside with shiplap, a stunning stone fireplace feature wall, and massive windows which let sunlight fill the room throughout the day.
Located in Burritts Rapids, directly across the street from the Burritts Rapids Lockstation, this venue offers multiple backdrops for your family/bridal portraits. The property features sprawling fields, a beautiful white brick walls, gorgeous interiors, and a nearby river. A wedding at The Boathouse Café is sure to be warm, cozy, and luxe.
